Buffalo Housing Apartments
An independent living housing complex is located on main street in Buffalo. The complex consists of eight apartments, three of which are two bedroom units and five which are one bedroom units. All of the units are one level and there are no steps into the building. One apartment is considered to be completely handicap accessible with a walk-in shower, wide hallways and additional handicap bars. (As of August 2006, there are no age restrictions.)
Rent is based on 30% of household adjusted gross income. Rental assistance may be available to eligible applicants. There may be a waiting list so apply now to be considered when an apartment unit is available.
The Cass County Council for Senior Citizens offers a senior bus service one day a week. The bus service goes to Fargo where seniors can go shopping, to medical appointments, educational services, visiting, etc.
