Section 17 Hunting Preserve

Located 30 miles west of Fargo-Moorhead on I-94.
Wheatland exit #342, north 2 miles to Cass County Hwy 10,
Follow Hwy 10 west 4 miles to The Preserve sign or to
146th Ave SE, then 2 miles north and 1/2 mile east.

Section 17 was established in 2021 by fellow hunter and guide Paul Kasowski.  In 2023, Dustin and Darrin Kasowski (Paul’s nephews) took over ownership of the preserve and continue to carry on the Section 17 legacy by raising quality birds each season.

The preserve season runs from September 1 through mid-November.  As long as birds are available and the weather permits, we will be hunting.

Throughout the preserve, you’ll find a variety of natural wild grasses, creating excellent training grounds for new pups and a prime setting to refresh and work seasoned dogs.

Accommodations include:

  • The Main Lodge - a warm, dry resting area.
  • The Cleaning Shack - a bird cleaning facility.
  • Hunting Helpers - hunting dogs (prearranged)
  • Shooting Practice - trap shooting with clay pigeons

No hunting license required for local or out-of-state visitors.

Singles or groups are welcome.  Any age, any level of expertise.

Credit cards not accepted.
